We respect and are committed to protecting your privacy. That is why we have adopted this Privacy Policy. This Privacy Policy lets you know how your personal information is processed and used. We promise that we will take steps to use your personal information only in ways that are compatible with this Privacy Policy. The following policies are only in effect for the Web pages owned and operated by Medex Healthcare Research, Inc. (“Medex”) The following discloses our Privacy Policy.

What information are you collecting and how are you collecting it?

Every computer connected to the Internet is given a domain name and a set of numbers that serve as that computer's Internet Protocol (IP) address. When a visitor requests a page from any Web site within the Medex Network, our Web servers automatically recognize that visitor's domain name and IP address. The domain name and IP address reveal nothing personal about you other than the IP address from which you have accessed our site. We use this information to examine our traffic in aggregate, and to investigate misuse of the Medex Network, its users, or to cooperate with law enforcement. We do not collect or evaluate this information for specific individuals. Our Web servers do not automatically record e-mail addresses of the visitors.

How is my health information collected, used, and stored?

Medex may, with your prior consent, collect and store information about you including demographic information, you name, and diseases or conditions you may have. This information is strictly confidential and only used to determine if you may qualify for a current or future clinical trial; your information will never be disclosed to any third parties. Under certain circumstances Medex may be required to share your information with the U.S. FDA (or other federally authorized agencies); if your records are disclosed the FDA will maintain the same level of confidentiality as Medex. You may revoke your authorization for Medex to store your health information at any time - simply contact Medex ( info @ medexhealth . net) and your personal information will be removed from any databases Medex may maintain. No consequences will occur if you were to revoke your authorization. If you have any questions about Medex's privacy policies please contact the privacy officer at info @ medexhealth. net. By submitting your information to Medex you hereby allow Medex to maintain and store the information you provided for an indefinite period of time unless your consent is revoked as explained above. You also acknowledge that your personal health information, though kept strictly confidential, may not be subject to the rights and regulation of the Health Information Protection and Privacy Act (HIPPA) as Medex, in certain cases, is not subject to those regulations. Data transmitted to Medex is conducted through secure data servers, though Medex can not be responsible for the malicious acts of third parties (i.e. “hackers”) who try to intercept such transmissions. Medex’s databases are housed on secure private servers accessible only to key Medex personel. Medex does not generate any revenue by collecting or storing your data. Medex does not receive any third-party funding for collecting or storing your data. What information do you collect when I register for something?

We may use your registration contact information to send you notification of Medex services by e-mail and/or postal mail and/or telephone contact. Your health information is protected by laws that Medex is in compliance with. Medex does not disclose any of your personal information or medical history to anyone except as required by law.

What other information do you request?

We request your e-mail address or mailing address for the purposes of conducting a survey or to provide additional services (for example, subscriptions to e-mail newsletters, announcement lists or information about upcoming trials). Whenever we request the identity of a visitor, we will clearly indicate the purpose of the inquiry before the information is requested. We maintain a strict "No-Spam" policy that means that we do not sell, rent, or otherwise give your e-mail address to any third-parties.

We may from time to time send e-mail announcing new Medex services. Except as stated above, Medex will not send you e-mail that you have not agreed to receive.

What else should I know about my privacy when online?

The Medex Network may contain hyperlinks to third party Web sites. Medex is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of such third party Web sites or advertisers. Please check with those Web sites to determine their privacy policy.

Ultimately, you are solely responsible for maintaining the secrecy of your personal information. Please be careful and responsible whenever you're online.

Your Consent To This Agreement

By using the Medex Network, you consent to the collection and use of information by Medex as specified above. If we decide to change our privacy policy, we will post those changes on this page so that you are always aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances we disclose it.
